Walking with God Who Can Talk Through Chalk.

Cool God moment today! Normally, on my blog, I share about my artwork, but today I want to share a cool story about how God used someone else's art to encourage me today.

I was on my morning walk around my neighborhood. I usually listen to audiobooks or scripture, but today I felt led to pray. So I'm praying and the scripture popped up in my head :

"the Lord make his face shine upon you." (Numbers 6:25), and as the words "shine" come into my head, I realize I'm reading a chalk sign at the same time that says "Shine."

I just stop for a moment and go, "Wow!"

The timing was too perfect! I go on these paths twice a day, and it's only when I'm praying are the words appearing in the path in front of me. I felt like it's an affirmation!

And this isn't the only thing God has done recently. It's like the more I pour into God's word the more things are happening around me. He used me to help a little boy find his way home and help a family untangle their garbage can from the car. The closer to I draw to God the more people and literal signs he puts in my path. I've been walking these paths for weeks and months, but all of a sudden, as I choose to walk closer to him, things start happening on my path.

It all started with making my heart right with God. I'd like to believe in doing so and walking in obedience, the Lord is saying, "The Lord make His face shine upon you."

This means so much to me because I've been discouraged in my walk with God. Just a few days before I had helped return a little boy home, but I didn't have a chance to talk with the parents. So I prayed for God to put the boy in my path again if I needed to help further. Later that evening, as I'm lamenting about struggling to do everything I can to meet with God, suddenly I see the little boy again with his mom in our path, and I'm able to let them know. She had no idea of his journey, and I'm so grateful I was able to talk with her. And I felt checked by God as He showed me is with me and sees and listens. And I was very grateful and humbled. And since then, God's been showing up on our walks again and again.
